Coast to Crest is an independent outdoor sports media brand covering mountain biking, surfing, skiing, and snowboarding. Unlike mainstream outlets, Coast to Crest focuses on original storytelling, community-driven culture, and real perspectives from the coast to the crest. Our mission is simple: tell core stories that keep the culture of these sports alive.

Founded in 2025, Coast to Crest publishes long-form articles, interviews, and commentary that highlight athletes, builders, shapers, filmmakers, and riders who shape the culture. We believe the best stories are found off the podium and beyond the highlight reels.

About the Founder

My name is Alfie Carbonell, and I started Coast to Crest as a way to combine my passion for storytelling with the sports that shaped my life. I grew up mountain biking, snowboarding, and surfing. I’m now a senior at the University of Utah studying Strategic Communication. I launched Coast to Crest to give outdoor sports a platform that feels authentic, soulful, and independent—something built by a rider, not a corporation.
